Greetings, and welcome to my blog

Greetings! Welcome to my new blog. I will be posting stuff about ashtanga practice, assorted musings/perceptions on life's vicissitudes, and (hopefully not too often) idiosyncratic ramblings of a disorganized mind that is trying to make sense of its place in the universe.

I'll start by saying something about the title of this blog. Besides being an ashtangi, I am also a Star Wars geek and a kungfu movie fan (especially 80s kungfu movies). So I have decided to name this blog after one of my all-time favorite kung-fu movies, "Ninja in the Dragon's Den" (Long2 Zhi1 Ren2 Zhe3, if you speak Mandarin). Here's a trailer of the movie:

Pretty cool, eh?

  2. Congratulations Nobel on starting the blog! By the way, my first degree was in philosophy. Wonderful observations on the Kino workshop.
    Cheers,

  3. Welcome to the ashtanga blogosphere. I like your book background; I'm a book person and almost chose it myself (also recently started blogging). Last weekend I did a workshop-mysore practice with Kino's husband Tim Feldman, who was fabulous - totally different from Kino (who I have also practiced with). Very interesting to read your impressions - thanks.

  4. Fivefootwo, I glad you like my guest post at Claudia's!

Arturo, I didn;t know your first degree was in philosophy. Cool. And then you went on to architecture school?

Thanks, kt. I'm very happy to be part of the online community. I'm glad you like my book background too. Actually, come to think of it, I received one adjustment from Tim Feldman a couple of years ago (I think it was in Prasarita Padottanasana C or D). I was at Tim Miller's workshop at Miami Life Center, and he was assisting during mysore.
