I said, "You should see me when I don't do the yoga."

I think the answer to your question is a heartfelt and definitive "yes." Love is enough. Perhaps I can use this as the beginning of the first chapter/prologue, and title it "What I talk about when I talk about the practice"?Nobelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00655577410721103577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449952380128375575.post-2094050915949005942012-02-15T08:34:48.725-08:002012-02-15T08:34:48.725-08:00Yes, devotion... funny I didn't think of that....Yes, devotion... funny I didn't think of that.

"That devotion sets the tone for my actions and god help me reactions, cos if I did not practice(all 8 limbs mind you) I would be a disaster."

This is a good point. Sometimes people tell me, "How come you are such a mess, even though you do yoga?" Maybe I should tell them, "Well, wait till you see me when I DON'T practice..."

Hmm... I think my Valentine's love song would be "So Much in Love" :-)Nobelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00655577410721103577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449952380128375575.post-13104486651887224592012-02-15T08:11:35.238-08:002012-02-15T08:11:35.238-08:00Okay. You are ruining your chances of becoming a yoga bum with a bestseller.
This here post is your love letter to Ashtanga and your homage to Haruki Muramaki's "memoir" do you follow me??sereneflavorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01918585302744520840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449952380128375575.post-72516417787628823152012-02-15T02:43:20.611-08:002012-02-15T02:43:20.611-08:00I guess the word/feeling I would choose is devotio...I guess the word/feeling I would choose is devotion. Devotion to the practice, devotion to the Supreme, devotion to this path that helps me to feel whole and happy. Yes, I have had pain and injury, still do sometimes, 4 am comes alarmingly early and sometimes I really do not feel like practicing.....BUT( as pee-wee says "there's always a big butt") I know how my devotion will be expressed as I move through however much of the practice I can muster for that day. That devotion sets the tone for my actions and god help me reactions, cos if I did not practice(all 8 limbs mind you) I would be a disaster. So, my Valentine's love song to Ashtanga is "Hopelessly Devoted", saw that movies about 100 times, and no I'm not exaggerating:)............it's "Grease" in case anyone had a brain fart.JayaKrishnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06706180494799838667noreply@blogger.com
