When people practice they are immediately displaying their deepest, most authentic selves in that moment, stripped of all the pretense that usually goes along with artistic self expression. It is unavoidable. Warts and all. All the karma that we carry in our shoulders, hips and heart is out in the open for all to see (which is maybe why I mostly practice at home?). Yet therein lies the beauty. It isn't a self expression that says "look how clever and different and out there and original I am"...which is the common message in most Art. It's more like "Shut the *%$# Up and Breath". What a relief :) People just are beautiful, they don't need fancy embellishments.
